OVERVIEW
New Westminster, locally referred to as New West, is only a 25-minute drive south-east of the Vancouver downtown core. The city is rich with history and has 3 museums that hold 36,000 objects and 35,000 photos to explore that history. Although one of the geographically smaller cities in the metro-Vancouver area, New West is diversely and densely packed with residential, commercial and industrial sectors. Transit is accessible and comprehensive in New West resulting in a high percentage of locals using public transportation as their main mode of mobility both within the city limits and to other regions.
